3 Things I Learned Right After Joining Microsoft as an Azure Support Engineer

I joined Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) back in July 2022 and ever since then I have been consciously keeping track of what I have been learning, be it about tech or not.

Before Microsoft, I was in an AI-centric startup, Tapway, which takes advantage of cloud technologies (mainly AWS) to provide computer vision-powered solutions to clients throughout the region.

Considering my career shift from startup to big tech, I am taking this chance to not only keep a record of the top 3 things I learned from my first few months at Microsoft, but also sharing them with whomever is interested to get a sneak peek of the culture here.

What I Do at Microsoft

I work as an Azure support engineer in the Data and AI space, mainly supporting these products:

  • Azure Cosmos DB
  • Azure SQL DB
  • Azure Managed Instance for Apache Cassandra
